Ashwitha Tunga

Policy Analyst

Ashwitha is a policy analyst in IISD’s Energy program. Her work focuses on India’s energy transition, including solarizing agricultural power supply.

Ashwitha is a sustainability and energy sector expert with academic and professional experience in energy systems, energy policy, and modelling. Prior to joining IISD, she worked as a research associate at the Florence School of Regulation (Global) and as a research assistant with the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems, working on projects including power sector assessments, electricity market design, electric vehicles, and optimization for low-voltage networks.

She holds a master's degree in sustainable systems engineering from the University of Freiburg, Germany.
